Meet Grandpa. He is a sweetheart that was in terrible condition when he was found. When he first was brought to our rescue, he was very much on guard. He wanted to trust people, but wasn't sure. We were able to obtain some information regarding his past. It was obvious by his personality that he lived in a loving home for years, his owner became ill, and sadly passed away. The house was cleared out but he was abandoned and left to fend for himself for months until a neighbor discovered him wandering. Over time, Grandpa (approx. 8-10 yrs old) lost most of his teeth due to malnutrition and going into survival mode and eating whatever he could find which would include garbage and rocks. He also had a really tight collar around his neck which was removed just in time before it became imbedded. He still has signs of the tight collar that was around his neck, but is doing well. You can meet them on the weekends at the Natomas Marketplace Petsmart from 11am - 5pm. Adoption fee applies
