I offer a thorough scene-by-scene script analysis. I lead you through each scene and sequence to find what works and what needs improvement through story, plot, character, dialogue, description, structure, conflict, goals, motivation, tone, inner/external conflict, etc. I even rewrite a bit of description and dialogue here and there to give an example on how it can be improved. How many script analysts can actually do that?
For the last couple years I've been writing, rewriting, and analyzing screenplays for writers, actors, directors, and producers. I've worked on writing or rewriting over 30 screenplays to date and have sold five. Plus, I've read over 3,000 screenplays as a script analyst and for screenwriting contests.
SCREENPLAY ANALYSIS RESULTS: I did an extremely detailed analysis of a script for a writer and they won $10,000 in the L.A. Comedy Scripts Screenplay Competition. I spent an hour and a half on their first page alone to help smooth out the kinks. I also analyzed a script for a writer then helped them rewrite the dialogue and they recently acquired one million dollars toward making their film. I did an analysis for a director and helped rewrite the screenplay and that script was recently shot and is in post. And finally, I performed an analysis for a writer who has written movies that have made in the 100s of millions of dollars. He was a comedy writer struggling with the plotting of a hard-boiled thriller and I set him on the right track.
I charge $250.00 for an extremely comprehensive script analysis. I accept PayPal (pay half up front and the other half after you receive your analysis). On average it takes 1-2 full days to complete an analysis. I also write and rewrite feature-length screenplays for clients.
