The Physician Recruiter is responsible for all activities in relation to physician recruiting. The qualified applicant will support community-based recruitment affiliated with Dignity Health"s hospitals in the Greater Sacramento area. ? - Work with other recruiters and recruitment coordinators to successfully recruit physicians for community-based medical practices affiliated with Dignity Health"s hospitals in the Greater Sacramento area - Conduct physician sourcing and recruitment using a variety of methods including, cold calling, journal and web advertising, searching websites/databases, direct mail, attending conferences, networking, referral programs, phone interviews, and search firms. - Provide a clearing house for all physician search efforts, developing search profiles, identifying candidates, and serve as a broker to outside recruiters as necessary through negotiated search agreements - Phone screen all candidates to determine quality and fit for the organization; present physician opportunity with detail and clarity, providing information about medical practice and Dignity Health, compensation plan, benefits, and specific elements of the position; respond to candidates in a timely manner - Direct and attend candidates" interviews; assist in organization of candidates" site visits including hotel reservations, tours of clinics, hospitals, community, appointments with physicians, lunch/dinner reservations, process all travel receipts - Work closely with contracts coordinator to ensure all necessary documentation is provided for candidate hires - Maintain current record keeping of open positions, interviews scheduled, offers made or not made, offers accepted or not accepted, reasons for offers declined, etc. - Establish regular and close communications keeping leadership informed of the progress of recruitment and with physician candidates as search progresses - Collaborate with hospital-based staff to coordinate recruitment and candidate interviews - Coordinate relocation issues with candidates - Participate in state and national physician recruitment associations - Participate in local, regional, and nationwide job fairs - Utilize personal car to provide transportation for candidates during interview - Facilitate negotiations of employment agreements and provide timely follow through once a candidate has received an offer - Present medical staff recruitment and retention issues to the hospital presidents - Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the job - Perform other duties as assigned ? REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor"s degree is preferred (appropriate experience can be substituted for education). - Three to five years (3-5) experience in physician recruitment or related physician relations activities preferred - Knowledge of healthcare recruiting and hospital operations - Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously - Strong writing skills needed to help develop letters, reports, marketing materials, etc. - Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team - Ability to work after normal business hours as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position - Solid comfort level with multiple software programs including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. - Knowledge of the internet as it applies to posting of job openings and other recruitment activities - Experience in the creation of spreadsheets, database information input and maintenance of marketing tools, such as flyers, brochures, etc. - Valid California Driver"s License and proof of automobile insurance required Dignity Health Medical Foundation, established in xxxx, is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation with care centers throughout California.
