"Rhythm"
For some, rhythm can be a challenge. Some ideas on ways to work on your
rhythm could be: Isolate your hands and only focus on the rhythm of one hand
at a time. Also, be sure to slow down and isolate the difficult area. For
example, if you are struggling in a certain measure, just practice that measure.
Loop it so that you are making a continuous loop of music, slowly. Gradually
you'll start to see improvement.
Another rhythm tip is to take the "rhythm in question" and only play it on your lap.
For example, you could clap the rhythm of the right hand on your right leg, and clap
the rhythm of the left hand on your left leg. What this does, is it eliminates any wrong
notes. Period. But you are then left with a much clearer understanding of what the
rhythm really should be.
